Beijing, China – A businessman of China confirm to Vientiane Times recently that his investment will target on Lao, China relation instead to make benefit from his business.

 

The Future Group of China President Mr Guo Yi gave an interview Lao reporter last week that if only to make money, they would not necessary to choose Laos. The friendship between China and Laos goes back to ancient times is their reason.

 

“As a private association, we will invest in Laos to promote good contacts and deeply friendship with each other, and to make a contribution for promoting the development of economic and culture in Laos as well as the convenient cooperation and the peace of area even the world,” Mr Guo said.

 

The Future Group is a big company in Beijing, which have a plan to run business in Laos near future including bank, property and others, according to Lao Embassy to China.

 

The Group’s President said that they mainly plan to invest in economic and culture sphere such as construction and finance and other sphere if there are good project.

 

“We are not only a corporation, but also patriotic organisations of civil for good-neighbourly friendship. Laos is a friendly partner of China, it will be benefit both China and Laos to investment in Laos with strengthen economic, trade, cultural exchanges, and to promote friendship of two nations,” he explained.

 

He added that being in undertaking of reform, opening and building of national prosperity and strength, there is a big investment space amongst economic and cultural field in Laos. The traditional friendship between Laos and China remains unshakable and becomes even firmer as time goes by.

 

“For the above-mentioned reasons, Tuozhan association, as a private one in China, should see its jobs as promoting communication and coordination between both countries in economic and cultural field to give even more attention and support,” Mr Guo said.

 

The group will decide the concrete time after making further investigation, survey, discussion and negotiation.

 

The company reported that this investment in Laos will push the Lao economic development, promoting employment, more importantly, can play a demonstration effect, and encourage more Chinese enterprises to invest in Laos, so the Chinese governments pay more attention to the old friendship, and increase the intensity of concern about the development of Laos.

 

The Group’s President also added that China and Laos are linked by mountains and rivers, good-neighbouring and friendship for long history. Since new century, Sino-Laos relationship presents a good and all-around situation, frequent exchanges of visits between leaders of the two countries, active exchanges at all levels, promote comprehensive cooperation in various fields, Sino-Lao relations enhance to the comprehensive strategy cooperative partnership, the development prospects of the two parties is very broad.

 

The company reported that Mr Guo was born in a military family, grew up in China's border, profound understanding of the good-neighbourly and friendly policy for neighbouring countries. This is a reason what he want to do investment with China's neighboring countries.

 

“I've visited Laos and having a dinner near the Mekong River gave me a good impression of Laos, I would like to be in a good old friend messenger,” he said.

 

Recently, the Future Group company has supported fund to promote the relationship of Laos and China through Lao Embassy to Beijing. The fund will continue to support on the development of an old Laos and China relationship song to mark the 50th Anniversary of establishment of the diplomatic relations between Laos and China on April 25, 1961 to April 25, 2011.

 

Before that company also support Lao government on being the host of 25th Southeast Asia Games in Vientiane.
