Lao officials upgrades in China

Beijing, China –Lao delegations have learned to know mechanism of socio-economic from China to develop Lao in the future.

About 20 officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Planning and Investment and provincial foreign affairs departments attended a training course in Beijing, China early this month.

The delegation leader Mr Bouamine Chouanglasy, who is the Director of the Khammuan Foreign Affairs Department told Vientiane Times last weekend that the training was very valued for the development of socio-economic because Chinese socio-economic mechanism is consistently with Laos.

“The methodology of Chinese socio-economic mechanism in 1978 is similar with ours now, so the training course will be helpful for development Laos,” he said.

Those delegations were invited to train in China almost one moth including theory and field trip. Lao and Chinese cooperation committee both in Laos and China were agreed to set up the course for development Laos in the future.

Mr Bouamine said that they were not the first trainees of the cooperation between Laos and China, this year they care the third group, while the training had already been setting up since 2008 and would continue to 2012 belonging to the Lao and Chinese cooperation committee agreements.

He explained that since China had opened country to the world on 1978, so this socio-economic mechanism was used to development the country.

“Like Laos today, this methodology is useful for us to develop country in this time, which match with both government policy on increasing cooperation between two nations,” Mr Bouamine said.

China has a policy to help and support the country which is developing, so one of developing country in is region is Laos so attending the training will be helpful.

Lao delegations will continue to visit some place where is related on its developed on socio-economic mechanism in Shanghai and Hunan province during this week.

“All our participants promised to bring these experiences to use on their organizations and offices to be success in the future, we hope that China will continue on this cooperation in the future to support on this experience for Lao officials in the future,” Mr Bouamine said.
