Chinese leader acts on climate change

Beijing, China – The Government will be highly responsible on climate change, which is impact China nowadays, China International Radio reported on Sunday.

It said that Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping told local press on September 18 that China must be ready to face problems due to the climate change with the highly responsibility.

Mr Xi explained to local media while he attended the National Science Popularisation Day in Beijing that the climate change is impact to survival and development of human in the world.

“Now China is stepping into industry and developing city very quickly so those are increasing of the conflict between the development of us with the climate change,” he explained.

Mr Xi continue to advise that China should be quickly change the development form and economic instruction, research and announce on technical system to make carbon emission lower to involved sectors as well as urge all Chinese people to save energy and reduce pollution to help the world on the climate change.

The National Science Popularisation Day’s theme of the activities was "saving energy and resources, protecting ecological environment and ensuring safety and health."

Xi urged the whole society to continue energy-saving and emission-reducing campaigns and support the country's policies on climate change.

In addition, Xi urged the country's youth to put forward more ideas for low-carbon life style and contribute their own green inventions.
